Mt. Moriah Presbyterian Church and Moriah Methodist  Church has been collecting both money and school supplies and children’s games for a church in Freeport, Bahama. This church suffered severe damage during hurricane Dorian and what was not destroyed by wind and water has now been deemed dangerous and thus useless due to mold and mildew.

The money and the gifts will be shipped just before Advent.  The dollar amount is now at $800 with a goal of $1,000, gained mostly with gifts of quarters. ($.025)!!  Pray for our project and feel free to donate wither paper, crayons, small medical supplies and of course quarters! To help contact our Pastor, Rev. Ken Parker at rekrapnek@charter.net or 518-592-5079.

Thank you to all who so generously donated hats, scarfs, mittens and gloves to the warming event at Lakeside coffee this past weekend. It was a wonderfully received event with much fun.  So appreciated that it is going to become a yearly event.  So thank you all so much.

Thanks to all that donated boxes to Operation Christmas Child.  Due to your generosity we were able to collect 68 boxes that will go to children who will learn about Jesus.      THANKSGIVING PRAYER

Dear Lord,

Today we give thanks

For our many blessings,

As we pray for those in need.

We give thanks

For our family and friends

As we pray for those who are lonely.

We give thanks for our freedoms

As we pray for those who are oppressed

We give thanks for our good health

As we pray for those who are ill.

We give thanks for our comfort and prosperity

As we share our blessings with others.

On this day of Thanksgiving,

May the love of God enfold us,

The peace of God dwell within us

And the joy of God uplifts us.

Amen.

                  SAVING GRACE

For food that stays our hunger,

For rest that brings us ease,

           For homes where memories linger,

We give our thanks for these.
