The Three Deaneries
The Presbytery of Northern New York is divided into three geographic Deaneries. The Dean for each is an Elder or Minister of Word and Sacrament elected from one of the constituent congregations in that Deanery for a three year term. The Dean's responsibilities focus on:
• Interpreting to Sessions and Congregations the goals and activities of the Presbytery and larger church.
• Be a programmatic resource to the congregations.
• Facilitate coordination among congregations in areas of common interest.
